Kids loved the beach where they could bodysurf and enjoy the waves while snorkeling with the sea turtles and we made good use of the beach chairs and umbrellas left behind by previous guests who stayed in our condo.
The makena surf is on the south side of makena about 2 miles from the shops of wailiea where there was awesome shopping a several great restaurants.
Kihei is only a 10 minute drive and there are several good restaurants there as well and grocery stores to stock up if you choose to cook.
